Uchi Appreciation Thread

I started off with Agnes and ended up really liking her! Phoebe was in my campsite this weekend, and I really love her design, so I got her to kick out Agnes. Some of the Uchi designs aren't the best, so I wish there were more.

My favorites are: Agnes, Cherry, Deirdre, Flo, Muffy, Pashmina, Phoebe, Reneigh, and Shari (my bday twin!)

Renee is my favorite! And I’m genuinely sad that they just named the new sisterly Reneigh. I get the pun but.... this yankee tough girl was first! She reminds me of this one Fruits Basket character! Like she’s threaten anyone trying to hurt the weak and just be there for you if you’re feeling down. >W<

Omg she totally is a yankee huh? That is such a sweet characterization of her I am so weak for 'delinquent with a heart of gold' trope

I don't want to be turbo woke but I have to wonder if at least some of the hate uchis get is because they're the only female personality type that isn't hyperfeminine

anyway, Shari is my uchi and she's been with me since the start! I love her to bits and she's here forever

I think design wise, they're overall probably my least favorite. When I first started, Fuchsia was so mean to me and I remember being kind of irritated with her. I moved her out and was content with not having an uchi at all--then I decided to bring one back because I wanted all the reactions. I had Muffy for a while and she was so wonderful, I ended up really liking her alot. I love her gothic lolita aesthetic. She was so sweet and caring and I found myself always going to talk to her. And then I ran into Pashmina on a mystery island and brought her in--she is even more amazing than Muffy imo, she really gives me 'Snarky older sister that always sneaks out of the house and gets in trouble with your parents but who has a heart of gold and would cover for you' vibes. Muffy gave me her picture so I let her go because Pashmina is just so...cool. And her winged eyeliner? Slay. Eventually I think I'd like to give Fuchsia a second chance now that I have more villagers and won't need talk to her 500 times in a row. She really had a glow up in New Horizons. Dialog wise, I think they're some of the better characters in New Horizons. So I would say those are probs my favs: Pashmina, Muffy, and Fuchsia (sorry for not giving you more of a chance).

Yeah! I just moved Pashmina in a few days ago via amiibo, and I love her! I’ve been pretending that she’s Sherb’s older sister. Ever since she started coming to the campsite, Isabelle has been giving me the island feedback from someone who visits a lot because their brother lives on the island. And yesterday I found Pashmina showing Sherb around her new house. Head canon confirmed!

Deirdre has been a favorite of mine since the NL days, she's absolutely amazing and her house is so cool!

But since starting with Reneigh I've fallen in love with her, she has a great design and is just fun to have around, definitely one of the best uchis imo!

Deirdre has been a favorite of mine since the NL days, she's absolutely amazing and her house is so cool!

But since starting with Reneigh I've fallen in love with her, she has a great design and is just fun to have around, definitely one of the best uchis imo!

Oh u are so lucky to start w Reneigh she looks SO cool!! Im a big fan of the piercings all around just great deisgn!

I started with Mira, and I'm honestly really thankful. Her red and yellow color scheme actually matches the starter Uchi's house with the vivid-colored Wooden Block furniture. It's arguably better than her actual house which is... uh, well... It's certainly... creative. But calling it a "house" is stretching it. And while I've never watched Sailor Moon, I can't even begin to fathom how her house is a reference to it. The more likely answer is that it's not a reference, and if so... why though?

Mira has already given me so much Medicine. I'm going to build an apiary next to her house in honor of her, haha. I also love her catchphrase "cottontail." It's so cute, it actually sounds like a term of endearment.

I also want to give a shout-out to Fuchsia, who I found after a day of island hopping yesterday. I arrived at the "Money Rock Island 2" on this list. However, it was late at night, and apparently, the only things that can spawn on there are Scorpions. The island was absolutely crawling with them. I was in a rush because I was running out of time to find a villager, but I just had to stop and talk to her.

She said that the island was peaceful and calming.

If I didn't already have a Deer villager, I would have absolutely taken her.

i don't know which uchi i'm going to get, but i hope i get one soon since katt moved out. i really love fuchsia bc i just love colorful villagers lol but my island feels rather empty without a uchi. u__u​

Hazel is my starter Uchi.
I really like her but I'll eventually be letting her go for Katt - my all time favorite Uchi who was my BFF in New Leaf.
Also, I want to have villagers with their original house interiors, and being a starter means that she has the DIY interior.

I really like a lot of the Uchi villagers - some of my favorites are Katt (duh!), Hazel, Agnes, and Shari.

I've not had much experience with uchis aside from Deirdre, who I absolutely adored in NL! I invited Phoebe from my campsite yesterday, who I hope I'll like just as much. At the very least, she looks really cool!

As much as I want to advocate for giving all uchis a chance despite their aesthetics....some of their interiors are kinda tragic : / her hour in NL was pretty fun with astro set making it seem like a secret superhero hideout

I really love Phoebe and Fuchsia. Phoebe's color scheme is aesthetically pleasing and Fuchsia is so cute; she reminds me of the late 90s/early 2000s. I want Fuchsia in my town so bad

Hazel was my starting uchi, but she pinged to leave my island and I had to let her go since I didn't want her to stay with the starter furniture. I ended up getting Fuchsia (amazing, love her) to fill my uchi slot, but I do miss Hazel and her unibrow at times ):

Cherry has been my favorite uchi for years. Love her punk aesthetic.

Uchi is one of my faves! Phoebe and I were besties in NL and she was my starter in NH, I adore Muffy as well from back then. Cherry and Reneigh have some of the best designs in the game. Dierdre is my current uchi and she's pretty cool too. They're so funny and cool.

I got a uchi gang trio that would curbstomp all the bullies. I wasn't really looking to invite a third uchi but when I saw Reneigh, I thought she was cool looking.

I really like the uchis. They're very endearing and bold.
