Uchi Appreciation Thread

I really wanna see more love for uchis! I started off the game w Deirdre and at the time I was already thinking of replacing her but she quickly became one of my faves : D I love the way the personality has been characterized in this game and Im kinda considering inviting Katt to my island as well!

I also really like the uchi design aesthetic I love all the bright colors and details (like piercings) that are unique to uchis! I feel Deirdre's brows give her some attitude and I love the touches of teal on Katt
Other than those two I think Phoebe, Muffy, and Mira have very unique looks! I enjoy heavily themed villagers (especially with Pheobe basically being a phoenix)

My fave Uchi has always been Fuchsia but I have Mira now and she’s SO COOL. I’m so attached to her now. Uchi is probably the best personality, IMO. They have so much depth and based off my experience, has the most varied and interesting dialogues among the villagers. Also got the best DIYs from them too, although I’m not sure if there’s a science to that or if it’s purely coincidental. Too bad their designs are limited and most aren’t pleasing. That’s why a lot of people don’t give them love.

I started off with Hazel as my uchi started. Ngl, I didn’t like her at first and I was mean to her. But over the weeks, she has grown on me so much and now I love her to bits! She’s just the cutest squirrel ever, with her unibrow and a single tooth sticking out. My friendship has grown so much with her that when she asked to move, I quickly said no. I couldn’t and still can’t imagine my island without her

i love reneigh's design so much it's so fitting for an uchi ♡♡♡
and i don't mean to be extra but katt reminds me of catra from she-ra

both are super cute though and i love uchi villagers so much ^-^

Since today is Cherry's birthday, I feel it's only right to give a shout out to her. She was one of my starter villagers on my main island and I think she's great! I feel like she's down to earth and kind of helps keep some of my other villagers grounded.

I have Tammy on my second island, and I'm happy to have her as well.

I feel like sometimes Uchis don't seem to get much appreciation, so thanks for making this thread.

I definitely think I enjoy their dialogue the most too! as for the diys maybe they just have good taste haha

I definitely understand if people dont find their designs immediately appealing (also doesnt help theres not as many of them as other personalities) but I think once you get to know one you vibe with it can make up for the design!

Uchis are the sisterly personality! I think they call em sisterly now but think a lot of people got used to calling them uchi so like muffy is an uchi :- )

Yeah,it's Katt.I don't know what Nintendo did to that girl for New Horizons but she's krazy good now.She's probably my favorite islander and she also plays a mean telekinetic guitar.

I really like uchis as a personality. I just wish there were more of them. They're so sweet. In both NL and NH, you can count on uchis to give you medicine for free when you've been stung by wasps.

I think design wise, they're overall probably my least favorite. When I first started, Fuchsia was so mean to me and I remember being kind of irritated with her. I moved her out and was content with not having an uchi at all--then I decided to bring one back because I wanted all the reactions. I had Muffy for a while and she was so wonderful, I ended up really liking her alot. I love her gothic lolita aesthetic. She was so sweet and caring and I found myself always going to talk to her. And then I ran into Pashmina on a mystery island and brought her in--she is even more amazing than Muffy imo, she really gives me 'Snarky older sister that always sneaks out of the house and gets in trouble with your parents but who has a heart of gold and would cover for you' vibes. Muffy gave me her picture so I let her go because Pashmina is just so...cool. And her winged eyeliner? Slay. Eventually I think I'd like to give Fuchsia a second chance now that I have more villagers and won't need talk to her 500 times in a row. She really had a glow up in New Horizons. Dialog wise, I think they're some of the better characters in New Horizons. So I would say those are probs my favs: Pashmina, Muffy, and Fuchsia (sorry for not giving you more of a chance).

Uchi is by far my favourite personality. I'm only ever gonna have pashmina though because having another character acting like pashmina would feel too weird for me since im super used to only her lol

I LOVE UCHIS. I have never had a bad uchi, and even if I get one with a design I'm not crazy about, they are just such good virtual friends. They are so caring and sweet but also have the funny tough side to them. They're just fun and dynamic in my opinion. I have many Uchis that I like!

I love Pashmina! Uchi is my second favorite personality after snooty in NH. I just wish they'd release more of them since there's so few uchi's compared to other personalities. I'm unfortunately not the biggest fan of 90% of the uchi designs, but Pashmina is one of my favorites! I also really like Reneigh, Fuchsia, and Phoebe.

GOD YES! pashmina is a QUEEN my sister had her on her island but even from just watching her play Pashmina just feels like she has so much personality? 'Snarky older sister' is what Ive always wanted from uchis and I feel like nintendo really delivered! I would say Fuchsia is another great one I love them

those starter uchis really have a way of growing on u! I wish it was easier to have a second island cause Id love to befriend more uchis that way! I hope katt and hazel gain a few more fans from being starter villagers they deserve it

I do like a lot of the designs but I absolutely agree they should add more! With more designs people would hopefully give them more of a chance!

Renee is my favorite! And I’m genuinely sad that they just named the new sisterly Reneigh. I get the pun but.... this yankee tough girl was first! She reminds me of this one Fruits Basket character! Like she’s threaten anyone trying to hurt the weak and just be there for you if you’re feeling down. >W<
