u can wave to townsfolk

its easy make sure that u can see the animal as u back away from him/her (try walking down), then point your wiimote at the animal, click and u should wave hello to the animal neibhor. I use it to get their attention when i want to talk to them.

Exactly like the DS version.

You can touch them with the stylus and they'll wave.

When you see them on the horizon, stand still and hold the B button. Then the top menus will disappear and you can click on the characters a lot more easily. Just make sure you stand still and hold B, then hit A.
