Hi, I've heard a lot about people having two towns.
Apparently they've got two game cards, but I don't know about the consoles.
Can you have two game cards on one 3DS? Or will it spoil each other's saved data?
And who recommends having two towns, is it worth it or not? Thanks in advance

Never mind what I had said, I had incorrect information.

I had two different games first, one was a cycling and I had no problems, then I got another console anyway.
But you can just get two towns anyway.

For future references, this belongs in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Just to let you know ^-^

Seeing as I'm here I might as well answer this question. Yes, you can have 2 game cards and they will not spoil each others data. The data is saved onto the card itself, not the DS. Pictures, on the other hand, that is saved on the SD card. If you were to download the game from the E-Shop, then you would need 2 different DS', or maybe 2 diffrent SD cards.

Depends what your plans are for a second game. Cycling villagers, excessive time-travelling, a differently themed town or... maybe solely for breeding hybrids?

I would recommend getting another copy of the game if you're really into AC:NL and can afford it. If you easily get bored, then maybe not.

Yes, you can have two towns on two different cards. I personally have a digital copy and a cartridge and have had no problems. The main thing is that if you're doing any TTing you need to use the in-game clock instead of the one on your console.

I love having two towns! I only have one console myself but I borrow my sister's 3DS and I'm able to connect them. My second town is a cycling/perfect apple orchard, while my main town (unfortunately) has oranges as the native fruit, so I've been able to save villagers in my second town as well as sell all those apples in my first town for loads of money. ^-^ I say it's worth it if you can afford it. I got my cartridge for Christmas, so I only invested any money into buying my digital copy.
