Two towns with same villager?

Does anything happen if I traveled to a town that had one of the villagers that I have in my town?

Like, do they say something about it? Or does it just not even register that it's weird?

I'm not sure... I think they say something if it's a dream town, not sure about a real town, probably?

The villager in the other town will greet you as a stranger.
*edit: in dreams: the villager will comment about it's weird seeing you in their dream

They don't address it at all (would be kinda cool if they did). They just act normally, like you're a guest in their town.

I visited marshal in my second town and he didn't recognize me but he just said "I feel like this isn't the first time we've met"
