two diy bottles a day?

hi so i just noticed you can get 2 diy bottles on the beach a day if u play morning and evening and i was wondering has this always been a thing or is this new? or have i somehow completely glitched my game (everything is running fine so i don't think it is this)

I can't remember if we ever found the reason for 2 showing up but I think it's either because you missed one the previous day or because you logged in with an alt character and left theirs there.

I’ve never had 2 a day. I play randomly from 7am to 9pm and I still only get 1 bottle for each character.

Recently I've been playing more and getting two bottles a day. I noticed this when I first got the game and was playing a lot also. It seems completely random from what I've read from others.

I often get 2 bottles. Must be because I pick the first one very early in the morning. On very rare ocassions, I do get 3 bottles. How that happened, I don't know.

Lol I made this exact thread soon after launch!
I consistently got 2 bottles a day when I played daily, so it definitely wasn’t from missing the previous days bottle like some seem to think. I had a friend who also got 2 a day pretty consistently and even got 3 a few times (and was the only player character on the island, so it wasn’t because they had multiple characters). It’s always been a thing but it just seems to get missed a lot because many don’t do full sweeps of their beaches multiple times a day. I’m not sure that there’s any specific requirement to spawn it either, it just... happens. It does however seem to happen much more consistently for me if I close the software for awhile and come back later, not guaranteed, but much more likely in my experience. It’s how I got the majority of my missing DIY’s~

I feel like you get a 2nd bottle 12h after you pick up the first, but could be wrong. There aren't any other players on my island and I make sure to find my daily bottle, though, so it's not either of those things.

I regularly get two bottles a day and it's just me on my island, I'm not sure why it's so rare for everyone!
