In my BearTown cartridge I got Stitches as an orig villager. He was so sweet and I always talked to him. We just clicked.

I bought him for 200TBT if my 2week old new town but I can't feel the connection. He also reminds me of the lost BearTown game. we don't click anymore.

Is it possible two Stitches can act differently?

that's strange... I don't know how he could be any different, really.
unless you haven't been going for all of the suck up points, maybe? lol
Tammy, Tex and every other villager I had in my old town that I got again in my newer one is just the same, so... couldn't tell you. and to clarify, they were not held by others. except Clay. and Dotty, when I still had her.

I don't think it is possible for the animals to act differently. Specially considering the two Stiches have the same personality. Safest guess here is that the original one you had a connection with him because he was original and free. I'm also going to assume you had time to develop a relationship with him. The second Sitches was bought and was already someone else's. Did you JUST get him? If so, I'd say give it time and build a relationship with him, it might get better. There's also a big chance that you're just simply over this villager now. That happened to me and Kiki. After a while, I just didn't feel connected to her anymore. Specially after I bought her for a new town, it just didn't feel the same. Some villagers are meant to be enjoyed and then let go.

I suppose it just feels like a different villager.

Had him for... 5 days. I don't feel like talking to him now either.

It wasn't a suckup because I didnt know he was so popular.

Well technically they won't really act differently. However, I do understand what you mean. I have Frita in my town, who I absolutely adore. She's helped me every time I've been bitten by a bee. She's given me an orange cosmo, pink rose, and purple tulip before since we have really high friendship. She even gave me her picture in the first 3 weeks of me getting her in my town, but... My niece, on the other hand, has basically the same Frita. I play her town because she doesn't play with her villagers anymore. It doesn't feel the same. She's still friendly with the mayor but it's just, they aren't as close as they could be like with my mayor. Her Frita would still be nice but only sometimes give medicine. She would invite me over to look at her house but never suggest a game of hide and seek, little stuff like that, and it just makes me feel like they don't bond that well.

It's kinda weird really. There have been threads before on here discussing degrees of each of the personalities so others have experienced it too. You're definitely not the only one.

Like RiceBunny said though, it also might be that you don't find him the same because he's still new so I guess just keep building the friendship. Otherwise, maybe sell him for a different villager. Experiencing a new villager is always just as exciting.

Yes,it does happen in the game.I've reacquired several villagers that I previously had in my towns(specifically Curly,Ozzie and Peanut)and the new versions of these villagers behave much differently than my originals. There was a thread about this subject that was posted a while back.I'll see if I can link it.

Here it is:

Maybe it's because the original stitches had more friendship "points" with you than the one that you adopted.

Most of my villagers are super nice to me and rarely get upset but when some new move-in's come in, I just don't feel it.

In a rare case, it could actually be possible he has a different personality,

I know for a fact some users on here hack {and sell those villagers/give them away}, so if you hacked a smug villagers lets say to replace with a lazy one, it would still have the smug personality even if you sold him to someone then.

But that's just in a rare case that the stitches you brought was a hacked or altered in that way. I do also know though it feels very different when you adopt a villager rather them being an original. It doesn't feel the same :l

No, they don't normally act differently.

Villagers tend to be a bit more standoffish before you reach higher friendship levels with them so you could try to befriend him. Even when there are minor differences between two Lazy villagers they essentially say the same stuff, so if you're getting completely different dialogue, something's off.

If it's the same conversations but you just don't click, then it's just that you've stopped finding him as appealing for some reason.

I think they can be a bit different, especially in their interests. For example I've had Chief twice. The first time he was constantly hoarding furniture and talking about bonsai, but the dialogues that he favoured were different the second time. For the most part though, when I've had villagers twice I've felt the same about them, except for that one time.
