Molly vs Sylvana.
Currently, Maple and Sylvana were my ride-or-die Normals. Our friendship is at the higher levels now, as both have given me their photos. And with one being Normal A and Normal B, both were unique enough that I genuinely enjoyed each of them on my island at the same time. I told myself - "You'll stay with me forever you two. For ever and ever."
Anyways, the other day I had Zell move out (I loved him, so so much. And after his 4th time of asking to leave, it just felt like the right time say good-bye. Like a boyfriend you love but are no longer in-love with. And much like a break-up, when I had a girl come over to pick him up, and saw him with someone else, I quickly thought "Did I make a mistake?? Do I want you back??" But ultimately, she was so happy to have him - I was happy for them.)
So I started my journey to find my next villager (a Jock or Lazy A), prepared my NMT and began the hop. 3rd Island in and I find Molly. I told myself I needed another Normal like a hole in my head, but she was just too cute, and I've never had a duck before. I brought her home with me and designed her entire area.
She is Normal A, like Sylvana, so their dialogue trees will be the same. I don't need two Normal A.
TL;DR
Do I keep Sylvana, my homegirl, my main bestie, as I just...got SO attached to her. Or - now that I've reached top levels of friendship with Sylvana, do I say goodbye, and enjoy the excitement and journey of learning a new friend again in Molly?
Is this just a case of the Seven-Year Itch?
Have any of you been in a similar situation?
