when do you think it will happen? do you think it will be on the wii u? i would like it to be on the wii u since i think it would look amazing in hd, but of course i think they should make some new textures. they better not make it on the 3ds, that will piss me off.

At first I thought they were actually making a remake for it.

Well, you look at the time for how long it took Ocarina and Wind Waker to get a remake, maybe another five, six years? Come on, Nintendo!

This wont happen any time soon. I'm sure we'll get a Majora's Mask remake before a TP remake.

I expect a remake of TP in 5 years minimum, if they continue with the remakes, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It's still a pretty modern Zelda game.

I doubt they'll do a TP remake until we're two home consoles away from the Wii U.
How come? Counting Nintendo's home consoles, the only one that Wind Waker jumped was the Wii.

I think that if they were to remake it, they'd have to have a reason to do so, and having it on a system that's incompatible with the game is the first requirement. Ocarina of Time couldn't be played on the 3DS (obviously) and they were kinda too late for a DS remake a la Super Mario 64 DS. Wind Waker could be played on the Wii, but not the Wii U.

Second, I think they need it to be a system seller. OOT and WW are considered two of the best (if not THE best) Zelda titles, so putting those on the 3DS and Wii U respectively was a good move. The opinions on Twilight Princess are kinda divided. Some people love it, others hate it or think it's mediocre. Putting it on a system will only make a fraction of people actually buy it.

So looking at the first point, we're waiting until at least the console after the Wii U, since Twilight Princess can be played on the Wii U (Wii version, innit). Looking at the second, I would expect a Skyward Sword remake sooner than a Twilight Princess one.

I'd love to see Twilight Princess reworked myself, as it's one of my favorite Zelda titles around. I just know to face the facts and realize there may never be one. Nintendo is considering Majora's Mask currently, but they wanted to see if there was enough fan support for it first.

I doubt we'd even see a remake for the successor to the WiiU. Try a boxset with a collection of the games first. A Zelda's 35th Anniversary boxset or something since 30 is too close to push that. Like the Kirby 20th one for the Wii? Or a collection of 4 Zelda games like the GCN special release that had OoT, MM, Zelda 1 & 2.

I don't want it. I don't even really want MM remake that much anymore either. I played it recently and it's too fresh in my mind. Plus its super short.

I assume that you skipped the Side Quests.
Even though that's the best part of the game.

I pretty much can understand that though. Felt the same way with Mario 64DS and the start of the Wii virtual console. Like "ugh again?" literally the whole thing of it all could have been delayed a generation and it woulda been a whole lot more interesting.... imo :D

I think Twilight Princess is still pretty fresh on everyone's minds to consider doing a remake for it. Like even with waggle controls, I enjoyed the Wii version enough to pretty much 100% it (missing some Poe souls I think) but if they really needed to release another remake, a Skyward Sword remaster would be nice. Yeah I know, isn't Skyward Sword fresher than TP? Yes it is. But the common complaint was with the motion controls, remaster it for Wii U for those who missed out or those who gave up because they didn't want to tough out the motion controls. Like sword fighting, felt relatively natural. Flying not so much nor playing that harp. Give people a choice to play it with motion controls enabled or tablet only.

I dunno, I'd rather the remake be Majora's Mask or one of the old-old games like A Link to the Past.

The problem with that is that they'd have to slow down the game considerably, seeing as you had to do specific slashes for certain enemies. Either it'd have to have you draw your slash on the Game Pad, or you'd have to do it using the right control stick. The latter would be a better idea, but even then it's not 100% accurate.

Unless they want to keep the inaccurate gameplay intact, in that case just go for the right control stick. Metal Gear Rising did it.

If they ever do remake it (low as the chances may be)... I'd be interested in seeing a redone orchestrated soundtrack.

Pretty sure they didn't do anything like it for the other games they've remade (feel free to correct me) but I always wished that TP could have a nice orchestra to replace those MIDIs.

I'd say not likely on LTTP remake considering how LBW is essentially the exact same world.

Still feels like a recent game to me, I don't see it happening any time soon.

A minish cap remake would be cool too

I would love that! :) And honestly I'd prefer a MM remake over a TP remake since it's older. Maybe they could tweak the time control elements to make them easier/harder depending on the player's preference.
