Turnips Spoiling Fast?

I know that time travel should spoil turnips but I only Time Traveled 4 hours back (Same day) and then I TT'd back to current time which is 6 hours the following day since it is 3am and all my turnips got spoiled.

It's just because you went back. If you go back to sometime in the past before your last saved time/date, then the game catches that and will make your turnips spoil.

TTing forward isn't supposed to make your turnips spoil.

Even the same day. Backwards at all, they spoil. Forwards is fine as long as you don't go to the following Sunday after buying. They spoil a week after purchase.
