Seriously, am I the only one having problem with this son of a ***** for my last fish? I mean, I lost count of my sea basses and I suck telling the shadows apart because they are more or less the same.

Blech. I wish it would spawn.. bigger shadows so you don't confuse them. Blue marlins and the other huge are easier, imo.

I call that shadow "longfish" in my mind because it's, well... long. Sounds a bit stupid I know but it might help you tell the difference, because it helps me. Same width as a sea bass shadow but more length makes it look thinner by comparison, thus: longfish. It seems more noticeable to me when i think of them that way.
Is that a longfish? No, not long enough, must be a sea bass again...

yea, i used to be able to catch marlins and stuff but those tunas.. argh how rare are they even.

the irony, one of my first fish on the last save D:

Lucky.

Hm think I might change to February or something, now. Since they are rare and not very rare at that time

It's just luck. I hope you find one soon!

I think AC games purposely make your last bug/fish much harder to get tbh. I always have problems with whatever my last one is.

You could always practise by doing the Tuna Kahuna tour though. Get a good look at their shadows and practise your celebration for when the real moment comes. :P

I managed to catch a tuna today! It was my first day out fishing in my new town and he was the fifth fish I caught today. I was quite proud of myself!

For me, I can't seem to catch an oarfish.

Caught a tuna once and a lot of stringfish.

Lol Blu :p

Well I ended up TTing to february since they become rare instead of very rare. Aaand I got one.

I think the large river fish were easy, except for King Salmon which wikis listed wrong so.. no wonder I caught it at ocean-waterfall and not rover itself lol it doesn't wander.
