Tulip Breeding Help

I bought some purple and black tulips but when I try to breed them, they're always white. It's really frustrating D':

Is there any reason why they're only making white tulips?

I'm not exactly sure. What are you trying to breed exactly? Just the purple, or just the black? Or both?

Purple x Purple is the best combo to get more purple and I believe Black x Black is the best to make more black hybrids. I'm not really sure why they're producing white ones honestly lol. I don't think I've ever seen that done before. o_o

Trying to breed both. That's why I'm putting them next to each other so they can breed and make me my hybrid babies but they're being annoying (

Gonna try and place them horizontally and see what happens

That's so weird! I guess maybe you shouldn't place them together then? If they keep making white more than a hybrid color at least. I never knew they could make white though! Very interesting, besides annoying of course lol.

Black tulips are weird.... When I try to breed mine, they'll make purple, pink, red, yellow, or white.... Jeez I can't keep track of these flowers' genes. ._.

yeah.... Black do breed purple tulips some time too... I keep them in lines and that works best... not diagonally from each other

You have the right colors and x pattern for breeding so there shouldn't be a problem with them spawning. I'd say move them to the beach so that there's less interference with your villagers planting tulips just in case. Another thing is that, if you are watering other hybrids, there is a lowered chance of more hybrid tulips spawning. Just water the tulips only and see what happens.

That is very weird though that white tulips would spawn since guides don't mention those as a possibility and I always had red tulips spawn from purple and/or black tulip combos, never whte unless a villager decided to plant one near that patch. Good luck though ^^!

Sometimes they just spawn normal flowers that they have the genes to spawn, so don't worry because that's normal. It can take some time and patience so don't give up. If you have multiple identical hybrids, try to breed them with each other, that makes it faster.
