TTing with AC:NL and Tomodatchi Life

So on the eshop Tomodatchi life, AC:NL and Kid Icarus are on sale with 20-30% off. I'm so tempted to download Tomodatchi Life like ergh.
I was wondering if changing the System clock affects the game and how does it do so? 0;

You can't TT in Tomodachi life, I found out the hard way that if the system clock is changed at all, the game stops the shops from updating and you can't collect money at the fountain or anything like that. It takes a day or two for the penalty to wear off. You could still TT in ACNL but you'll have to use the in-game clock (through Isabelle when you load up) if you download Tomodachi life.
