I have a question. If I invite a villager to my town one day and then TT to the next day and invited another villager, would that work? Also, if I TT back to the original day after doing this will the two villagers that I invited still be there?

So for the first question, you can't invite another villager in until the first villager is plotted, otherwise the second will override the first. So it depends how quickly invited villager #1 plots.
For the second question TTing backwards any amount of time counts as one day forward. So say you invite villager #1 on a Monday, TT to Wednesday and find their plot, invite villager #2 in and TT to Friday to find the second plot. Now if you TT back to Monday, your game will act the same as if you had TTed to Saturday.

Are you inviting a villager from campsite or from another town??
When you invite someone from campsite, they normally move in 2 days after. So you probably will have to TT 2 days forward so they plot their house, then invite another villager (that's if you still have an open spot).
If you invite someone from another town, they move in the very next day. So if you TT to next day you'll see their plot.
TTing back always count as going forward 1 day.. I'd assume villagers (or plots) won't disappear when you TT backwards. Still, I'd TT back to the original date after all villagers you invited are settled in your town..

Yes that is possible. Make sure that you talk to your villagers on each new day you TT to. I always just find a gossipy villager (it's usually my peppy or snooty) and talk to them until they tell me to go away to make sure there aren't moving rumours. If you're not used to TTing I'd suggest doing one day at a time and checking for rumours just to be safe. Even when I'm plot resetting (with a new character) I always boot up my mayor after the plot is set to check for a mover before I continue.
