TT and turnip prices

So I have not started turnips yet, but I hear that this is the quickest way to earn bells (which I need).

So, if I have a friend, then on Friday I check to see how much Joan is selling for. Then the friend starts TT in their town to find the best price that is higher than the selling price.

Now, I have seen some people post that turnips are selling for over 600 bells. So if my friend finds a day like that, then will we always be able to TT to that day and get that price?

Or is the price randomly generated each time you visit, regardless of TT?

I'm not a turnip expert, but I do know there are two prices per day. So if the price is 600 in the morning, it will change later in the day. You don't have to time travel if you plan to visit another town to sell.

Yeah, do not time-travel while you have turnips, even if they are in your locker, on the ground, or anywhere. As soon as you time-travel, they will rot and you'll have to pay to get rid of them...

I think the prices are randomly generated every day, so if your friend had a price over 600 today for example, I don't think (s)he will be able to TT back to March 17 next week after playing for several days and get the same price. If your friend were to keep the in-game clock on March 17 without playing on any other day, then the price would stay the same for as long as your friend keeps switching the clock back to March 17 every time (s)he plays. Note that I just use March 17 as an example; use whatever date your friend finds the high turnip prices on.

It works like Red Cat posted. I've left my town stuck on the same day for 5 days in a row for all my friend to sell.
If your friends town has a high price than you can TT to Sunday to find Joan. Open your gates and invite your friend in.
Both carry shovel and while you buy your friend digs a holes around Joan/you. Fill in the hole once your done and try to get her stuck in one space. You wouldn't need the shovel any more and Joan will stay put while both of your buy turnips.

I do this in my side town all the time.

And thank you for the detailed answer. I have not tried turnips yet, but I have a friend who has a side town that I could use for this, we just did not know how

Does Joan sell for the entire day or just in the morning?

Just the morning. Your friend can set the side town to 6am to give you enough time. That should give you enough time to buy/sell.
If you still want to do more and it's getting close to 12noon get your friend to sell her turnips in your town. Once all the turnips in her town are sold she can roll the clock back to 6am. Try to find a buy price 97 or under. I try to get 90 to make it worth the time.
If the town with the high price is running out of time get that town to sell all the turnips so you can roll that time back again.
After you buy you can send an extra player over to buy more turnips while Joan is trapped.
Once that player returns get them to drop the turnips on the ground. The mayor will not get the buy price removed when she sells the extra players turnips since didn't buy them. You can get the 3 badges in one day letting a side player buy, drop and than the mayor pick up and sell.

I do this all the time in my side towns but it's a lot of work when you just do it by yourself.
