Trying to Decide What to Do...

I just got a second (used) copy of ACNL today because 10 villagers just isn't enough. The previous player's town has a few pretty decent villagers in it. So here's what I'm trying to decide.

Play this town as if I'd started it (looks like they got rid of the game pretty shortly after starting).

Reset. Just plain and simple reset.

Or give away/sell/etc. the villagers and then reset.

The villagers in town are Lolly, Rosie, Chief, Kid Cat, Pecan, Lucha, Mira, T-Bone and Nan.

What do you guys think you'd do?

I'm leaning towards voting for a reset, but that's a tough question! Is there anything specific that's making it hard for you to decide? There are some great villagers in that list, but that said, you could just pretend you never saw the original and just go for a reset. Kicker is, if you choose to give away the villagers and then plan on resetting, it's possible that ones you love more would move in, making it that much harder to decide. If no one in the town is a dream villager of yours, maybe it's worth resetting? How do you feel about the map? Does it feel as though it's worth keeping?

You should sell the villagers/giveaway! I think if your having doubts now, you will probably regret not resetting later.. I think personally i would like going through the process of creating the town myself from scratch. And you could probably get a lot of money from lolly, rosie, kid cat and chief. if you are gonna sell, id be more than happy to take rosie or lolly haha but do whatever feels best!

I think you should probably auction/sell as many villagers as possible, 4 of the villagers you stated are all 1st/2nd teir, and you would make quite alot of bells off all 4. or just keep them.

Plus, im trying to get 2 of my villagers to move currently, id be more than happy to take kid cat off your hands for a pretty high price.

The map itself is basically ok, I'd definitely have to do some bridge building, but I don't like the mayor name or town name, and that's part of what I'm worrying about too--what if I get attached to somebody? I already have Kid Cat in my main town (not exactly a dreamie, just a random move in who ended up being fun). It'd be just my luck I'd probably get Julian while moving out the existing villagers, too. I dunno. Kinda like that time Phoebe visited my campsite the day after I got a tenth villager....so basically the hard part is that I'm ridiculously indecisive. Hahahaha.

Yeah, not being able to choose my house placement or mayor name/town name would bother me. im extremely indecisive too lol, currently im trying to decide if i should reset or not. But good luck either way!

I wouldn't know what to ask for him, but I'd be glad to send him your way. I've got him in my main town too and plan to keep him around for awhile. He's a really fun villager, and a bit of a dork.

Yep, I think that's what I'm going to do. Find homes for the villagers and reset once I'm bored of doing that.

I know right! My favorite part of making a new town is getting off the train and seeing who meets me at the station. It's so fun!

i agree about the birds! ive always noticed that, i had lucha once i my town and could only picture a wrestler. and i also love seeing what the native fruit is!

I think it makes sense to sell or giveaway the most wanted villagers then reset so you can choose the town and mayor to your liking. I am about ready to restart my second town that I have had for about a year now. Once Deidre moves in a few days, I am going to transfer anything I want to save and restart. I just need a fresh start there.
