Hi guys~

So Gladys moved out a few weeks ago, and I have the campsite built already and no luck on getting any villagers to move into my town that way.. Does the town usually randomly move in villagers like at the beginning of the game even though you have the campire built? Does it only rely on moving in villagers through the campsite now that it's built? Or it just takes a few more weeks for 1 villager to move in?

I'm so lost, but thxvmuch for reading!

villagers will only move in from the campsite if you talk to them and convince them to move in. otherwise, they will stay for a day and disappear the next. it also usually takes more than one try to convince them to move in; you may have to play a game and win that game for the villager to agree to move to your town.
the game will automatically move a random villager in if you have 8 villagers, but if you have 9, the only way you can get a new villager is by moving one in from the campsite, streetpass/someone's void, or moving one in from someone else's town. if you have 10 villagers, no one new can move in.
hope that helps clear things up! c:

yeah if you keep playing games with the camper and talking to them, they will eventually agree to move in. you may have to quit and log back in if you arent having success with them, and then try again...

I know this is not specifically what you asked but if anyone wants to know a good fact here it is:

You do not need to get your tenth villager from the camspite. Although, you DO need the campsite to get your tenth villager. As long as you have the campsite, a tenth villager can move in, but it does not have to be from the campsite.

if you have the campsite built, then a villager will camp there. though there's no telling when they will camp.

In addition to all above, when a villager camps then you have to keep chatting to them in order to get them to move in. Sometimes it can take hours, sometimes minutes!

Just a quick FYI; If you want to convince a villager to move in be sure to remove any bells you may be carrying and remove anything you may have stored in your pockets. If you don't do this the camper will suggest playing a game which will distract them from moving in.
