Tree idea for the winter

It's always bothered me how there's orange fall leaves on the trees during the months of December and January. In fact, I hate the very idea of any leaves on trees during the winter. So I thought I might try this:

During the fall, I will replace all my regular sapling trees with perfect apple trees. Then when the winter comes, I'll harvest all the perfect apples and the trees will go bare for the winter, which might make it look more... well, wintery. I may even hold an apple harvest where I give TBT users free baskets of the perfect apples I harvested then over the winter I'll collect more saplings daily from Lief and replant them in place of my dead trees for spring.

ohh that's a good idea! it might look a bit creepy seeing so many dead trees though lol
I just left my fruit trees, and replaced all my... normal trees with cedar ones in the upper half of my town so I could see the christmas lights on them

That's a neat idea. Leaf-less trees would look more natural, in my opinion. I think I read that bare perfect fruit trees still count toward your "tree count" or whatever the game takes into account for a perfect town. It's something I've never seen in a town before, and it sounds cool.

Thanks! Just thought of it when I visited Aika for the 15th million time (dear gawd I need to stahp) and thought it might look cool! Now just to wait for winter... hopefully the game will still hold my interest until then! (lol most likely)

And even if you harvest and sell off a lot of those p. apples yourself, you could easily make enough money to even buy saplings from users here if you don't get enough from Leif.

Yeah for sure! I'm kinda excited for this now haha. Too bad I gotta wait another six months.
