I couldn't find much of an answer to this, just that it happens, but when you place a lot of trees in a grid pattern, one in the middle will die? If I were to plant again the next day after digging it up, will it grow or die again? :c I really want to have symmetrical orchards, haha..

Also sorry if this is the wrong thread! Please tell me if it is. ><

How close together are your trees? You can only have a certain amount of trees or bushes in a row before they start dying

Bushes are the same way, too many in one area, or too many touching- even with trees, and they'll always die- it was a way for programmers to prevent people blocking in players who don't yet have shovels or axes, otherwise you could just put that all around their house, and they'll be trapped forever!!

OH MY GOODNESS, this explains SO much. I was wondering the same thing!! Darn it!! That means I'll have to rethink how I plant my orchards from now on. Thank you so much, AkaneDeath!

If the middle tree is very close to the other trees and doesn't have atleast one space between them, it will die. I learned that the hard way while landscaping and wasting a ton of cedars. -.-
