Trash?

Do the balloon gifts count as trash? I want to keep them around town, but I don't want to affect my perfect town status.. So far, it doesn't seem to be considered garbage but who knows. Can anyone confirm?

Garbage should only be tires, empty cans, and boots that you fish out of the water. I've tried looking it up but only those 3 items have been classified as trash/garbage.

Well furniture and random things scattered on the ground also counts as trash and affects perfect town status. Those are only the trash items that you can fish out of the water.

I'm not sure, but my guess is that they do count as litter since they're not "natural" items like fruit and seashells.

Bells dropped on the ground and possibly seashells do seem to count as trash, as I've used these to outline my dirt paths and the animals frequently mention "all the trash in the town".

It's weird then, because usually, leaving 2 extra stray items of furniture or clothing will affect my town status, but I have 3 gifts on the ground and I still have perfect town status. :/ That's why I'm a bit confused haha

Also, I don't think shells count as trash, but bells most definitely do
