Pokémon Trainer naming help

Okay so I got Alpha Sapphire for Christmas and I really couldn't play it because of prepering for a New Years Party on Animal Crossing: New Leaf, now I can but i'm stumped right now. I'm choosing May because she's one of my favorite female trainers. Now the naming part is the issue, since i'm a boy and not going for a girl name I thought i'd use my username it wont fit because May is a girl and since my username has "Boy" in it, it wont make any sense! My other suggestion is to use my Nintendo Network ID which is Apple-Yo147, it will fit but i'm not that fond of it.

Which one should I choose? Or should I make up a totally different name?

If you are doing trades just tell people what your in-game name (IGN) is. My in-game name is not the same as my username on here so that is what I do.
