This board is for ACNL in general, so I never really understood why we need a thread for questions.
Agreed. And when a thread grows to a ridiculous amount of pages, I tend to stay away from them (well, most of them). It's a mishmash of fragmented conversations covering just a portion of the questions. I think a sub-forum with individual question threads would make more sense.

It's to keep the questions in one area and prevent having the forum flooded with questions. If that were to happen, it would be very easy to miss posts and leave questions unanswered.
It's just easier and more convenient to have it all in one thread and with the search feature in threads, it's possible to search and see if a question has already been asked/answered.
You're both fairly new to the forums and missed out on how chaotic it was earlier in the year.
