Trading villagers when you don't time travel

What is the most common way to trade a villager for another villager when you don't time travel? Just worried as i don't time travel so i wont be able to travel to get the villager in boxes, and i won't be able to time travel to keep the villager in my town until i find someone to trade with, so when i plan to trade a villager I'll only have a short window of time to find someone to trade with. Thanks for any help!

Just post the thread for the villager a few days in advance if your wishing to sell/trade it.

I put up a notice either on Tumblr or here the day they ask to move. That way, there's a few days to get the message out and for people to gather up Bells if they plan on offering. As for trading villager for villager, I'm not sure how it'll work. I've never done it like that ahh /unhelpful
