It depends. If I am selling something, then it will be in re-tail.
It works for me since the items are there and it reduces scams. If I am trading items then I do station trades.
I always give villagers away for free so I don't need to worry about retail for that.
It does suck going to another town to buy a villager though. Glad I'm done with that for a long time.
I feel like it's just as much work for the person with the bells both ways but it's easier for the person just putting things for sale because the money goes right to the bank account. It also depends how much money you're dealing with
This answers the question basically. The only thing to add is it depends the location of retail. If it's close enough to main street then it would be best to just use retail but if it's not close then it would be best to just drop dem bells.
Depends on the size of the trade. Like today was for 48 pieces of furniture. And it was only for 1.5 mil so I just made the space at the station.
But if it's for a few expensive pieces, I put them at retail since it's near the station too,
