Trading 3DS for 3DS XL?

I was wondering if it was possible to trade in a regular 3DS for a 3DS XL for free. A while back I heard of an offer for this kind of trade-in at Gamestop, but is it still currently standing or is the offer terminated? I really want an XL for a better gaming experience, but I don't want to pay for another system when I have one that works perfectly fine (that I paid full-price for around the time of release).

Idk you'd probably need to trade in a few games too but idno i am not v smart

The offer has probably ended. Keep on eye out though, they tend to have different trade-in deals weekly.
