I wanted to make a toy store in my town. I was originally going to make a bakery....but I've already done that.

I think a toy store would be cuter anyway.

I was just looking for suggestions on what to have.. I want to make sure I don't miss anything.
I know the of the stuffed bears and the dolly and the dollhouse too.
I'll have the cash register as well of course.

Any suggestions on furniture sets to use?
Should I make it multiple rooms or stick to just one?

Just trying to put a whole idea together. Thank you. ^____^

As a suggestion for a furniture set, perhaps the Kiddie set or the Balloon set? They're very brightly-colored and fun and make me generally think of children and toys (especially the Kiddie set).

And as for items to have... I'd recommend a lot of game pieces like the Crane Game, the Pinball Machine, and the Game Shelf. Maybe a Gumball machine in there, too. Also, the Miniature car, if you have it! (I'm pretty sure that's an unorderable, though.) The sandcastle, perhaps (if you have it), and the Colorful wheel.

That's all I can think of directly off the top of my head, but I'll post again later if I can think of more. Good luck with making your Toy Store!

I was thinking instead of the normal kiddie set, you could do a refined toy store with the gothic pink rococo set and the princess set. You could set up some blue, pink, purple/yellow balloons along the perimeter. Maybe refurbish some of the bears into soft pastel colors. You could incorporate the Aries rocking chair, white chess pieces, glass display cases, pop-up book, etc.

I think the polka-dot set would look very cute too as well as the patchwork set. You can customize both sets in a variety of colors to suit your theme. :)

Thank you for the suggestions!

I might do a few different rooms geared toward different toy themes maybe..

I like the idea of having a kiddie room but I never thought of using rococo or polka-dot.

The capsule-toy machine (I think it's called that) is a good item as well. I agree with the idea of polka-dot set.

I recently made one of my rooms a playroom, so I wanted to mention a few toy items that haven't already been mentioned:
Train Set
Mobile
Clacker Cart
Rocking Horse
Backyard Pool
Hula Doll (Gulliver)

Also, next time there is a fishing tournament try and get the Crab Clock and the Football Fish Lamp. They have a really cute childish feel to me. So does the Owl Clock, but that you can get via the usual methods. You may want to consider time travelling to a Fireworks Sunday to get the Miniature Car and Boxed Figurine. The fortune cookies can give you other kiddish stuff you might want to consider, I just don't remember them off the top of my head because I got rid of them.

I wouldn't ignore clothes either. Maybe you could do a few mannequins of clothes you consider childish or costume like the cat, frog or bunny costume? The Princess dress could be considered something you'd find in a toy store. In fact, maybe you ought to rush into the Able Sisters every day this week to start buying masks.
