Town Tree Growth

I've been on April 1 on my 3DS because I want to get the Easter items and Zipper's pic, and also get the starter villager pics from Blanca.

If I time travel from April 1 to May 2, will the game act as if I played 31 days or just 2?

As in 2 I mean the day you become Mayor(April 1) and the day you return(May 2)

I think to get the town tree to grow, you have to play a certain number of days and a certain number of hours. So you'll have the day part covered, but you'll still have to play however many hours to get the tree to grow.

To put it in better words, even if you have 31 days, you still have to play at least 5 hours to get the second stage tree and 20 hours to get the third stage tree.

You'd have to time travel day by day to accumulate the days. One time time-travel from April 1 to May 2 only equates to one day passing in the game, or two days total: April 1 = 1 day, May 2 = 2 days. (I've mention this because I've done it myself to make my town tree get to the 50/50 mark)

Oh that's right, you have to play each individual day to get your tree to grow.

Though I'm still pretty sure if you don't play for 31 days you'll have a bedhead.

Ah alright. Thanks for the info guys! Now I won't have to worry about rushing my town tree's growth since I was kinda avoiding that.
