Town Themes and Layouts...?

So I'm fairly new to Animal Crossing. I've played New Leaf for about a month now and I kinda want a theme to my town. I displayed some paths and those look good and added a few orchards but I was kinda going for a modern theme and I'm not really sure how to do that. Anybody know any good dream addresses for modern towns? Or any advice on how to make a modern town or just an organized town in general? Thanks

You can try and look for villagers with modern house exterior. Otherwise the modern paps are probably a good help too!

Yes, I’ve been trying to obtain the modern pwp’s but only one of my villagers is ‘Snooty’ and that seems to be a main characteristic of all the modern pwp’s.

 

[Cherry-Blossoms]

There are quite a few modern pwps, and some villagers that would fit like ribbot. The stadium light looks modern too although it isn't classed as a 'modern' pwp.

Besides Snooty, some other pwps that might work for a modern themed town are:

Jock:

- Traffic Signal
- Video Screen
- Blue Bench (even the default Bench would look fine, I think, especially if your modern town has a park area)

Cranky:

- Drilling Rig

Peppy:

- Round Streetlight
- Any of the Illuminated pwps

Normal:

- Drinking Fountain
- Garbage Can
- Flower Bed (maybe?)

Any:

- Caution Sign
- Modern Bridge
- Yield Sign
- Police Station

I might've missed some, but those seemed pretty modern to me! I guess it depends on the sort of modern look you're going for. Maybe find some QR patterns that look like roads and sidewalks!

I just think it's really pretty and this is sort of how I imagine modern towns! Their tumblr might have more images for inspiration!

I'm coming back to this post as a more experienced user (not really lol) and I abandoned my old town in hopes of a new start but still would like to see more modern towns! If anyone knows of any please link them
