So I'm thinking of resetting my second town, if only because I haven't done much there, and I need ideas for themes. 'Sparkle Kawaii Ugyuu Desu' seems to be rather popular, and I'd like to go for something a little more original.

Here are some of the themes I've thought of, but I can't decide if I want to go with one of these, or something else.
~Halloween town
~Christmas/Winter town
~Venice-like town, with water channels
~Woodland/forest town (I feel like this skirts the kawaii theme pretty closely though)
~'Travel the world' town (pwps like the totem pole, sphinx, Eiffel tower, etc... I'm actually not too fond of this one, but maybe someone else would like it)

That's about all I've got right now. But yeah! Post your theme ideas! :D

I really wouldn't recomend a winter/halloween themed town as you'll just end up playing the same time period.

You could make a town based on a type of villager-type. if your town is full of cats, your paths can have cat paws in it c:

How about an All-Penguins Town? (You can tie this in with Christmas and the Winter periods.)

I've always loved the idea of making a snow white themed town.

I'd have a house by the cliff-edge which would be Snow White's, it would have one room and be decorated like a typical little cottage.

Then I'd have two more houses side-by-side but they would be in a different part of town that I would decorate as a forest, with loads of cedar trees, a fire pit and the campsite and tiki torch. One house would be the house of the seven dwarfs, inside would be 7 common beds in a line, then another room designed like a kitchen with 7 chairs around a table. The other house would be the witches house and it would have one room, be really dark and have a perfect apple in the middle of the floor (the poison apple).

Aside from the big forest area, the town would be full of trees and fruit to represent the enchanted forest ^^

If i had the patience and motivation, I'd do it but meh..

Yeah, I thought about that. Winter wouldn't be so bad, but Autumn gets a little boring after a while. =/ And I didn't think of that! I'll have to look at all the different villager types and see what I can come up with. Thanks! ^^

I did think about putting a couple penguins in the winter town, but I don't know about an ALL penguin town lol. Thank you though. :)

That sounds way cute! I was thinking about something like that for the winter town. In one area would be santa's workshop with the jingle set and other christmas-y decor, and in another area I'd have a house dedicated to like an ice witch or something, and it'd be decorated with the ice series. :3

There's always the idea of a town themed after Teufort from TF2. Wear down all the grass, have water fountains, ponds, and those water pump thingies (as seen in My Neighbor Totoro), name your mayor Mike, make patterns of the TF2 Mercs (or at least their logos), and make an alt that you could use named Pauling (after the Mercs' babysitter and the Creepy Old Lady's secretary), to perfectly replicate that New Mexico feeling.

I've actually never played TF2, but that sounds like an interesting idea, hehe.

you can make a town that has no themed name or anything but around the time of a holiday/season/whatever you can update your dream address when your town is all decked out until the next season/holiday/or you can reset your town or whatever

i like nature themes a lot but kudos to anyone who can pull off a modern/city theme successfully.

I've never seen a tavel the world town. Sounds really fun.

I have a Halloween house, north pole with Santa's house and a Snow White house in my Joy town. You can check it out for ideas if you like.

If you choose the winter town. You could put in all penguin villagers. A Frosty the Snowman character and house would be fun to make.I can't remember where I seen it, but a while back I found a cool ice/ water pattern. It had snowy ice floating on water. It was really cool.

That sounds like a lot of work, lol. I don't think I'd have the patience for it. > >;;; But yeah, modern was never my preference, but it would be cool to see a really well-done one. :)

If you do like the wintery theme you could call it Siberia lol

Lol, I could indeed. :)

I might do that, thanks. :) There's actually only 8 penguin villagers, so I'd have to find 2 more (or at least 1 more) villagers to prevent a random move in. That pattern sounds cool though, but yeah I saw a pattern today that had waterways that were frozen over and that looked really cool. :D

City of light! I've never seen a town that is entirely covered in illuminated PWPs, streetlights, a tower, and that sign thing.

Wow, that does sound pretty! :D I think I've finally figured out what I want to do though. I think I'm gonna go with the sort of venice look, with water channels everywhere. I think I'll have fun with that one. :)
