I just reset my whole town, so I am starting over. I am planning where I want everything to be. And thankfully I don't like any of the villagers. Cycling them out and plot resetting for the new villagers is going to take time. But I am so looking forward to it!
How many times have you guys reset your town? If you ever have?

Really? did you plan out everything or did you just go along with the flow?
I tried going with the flow.. then i started to plan and it felt like my town had no room for anything. And i want to make it sort of natural looking. But right now, starting fresh makes my town look like there is more room than i have ever had!

I've started I believe twice. My first town I had a week after the game came out, but I stopped playing come August and didn't pick up until after I got bored with Pokemon come mid December. After I got back into it, I didn't like anything about my town, so I ended up restarting. My second town I just was bad with planning and wasn't a huge fan with it, my new town I really enjoy c: This one is 100% planned out this time.

Zero. I just can't do it. I put so much work into my town, I would hate to reset.

My first town (main) I never reset since launch. Second town I reset till I got a layout i liked :)

Never reseted, too much time and effort put in

I have 2 towns, one cartridge and one on my SD card. Fun, fun.

SD CARD:
1st Town
Reset 2 weeks after I started playing, because it was getting boring in the town. This was before I discovered TBT.

2nd Town
Starting visiting the online island more and more, and kept this one a while. This was the town I discovered TBT on :D Reset after about a month.

3rd Town - Current
Dawnstar is amazing, though I have considered resetting. I won't do it, as I have a few popular villagers that'd likely be stolen or lost somewhere along the move, but I still kinda think about it. I've had this town a long time, though I've TT'ed a lot.

Cartridge:

1st Town
Originally bought this as a cycling town. NOPE. Found Lucky after a bit of resetting for some good starters and decided to keep the town for a while. Eventually, I think I gave him away or something.

2nd Town
Attempted to cycle again. Got attached, again.

3rd Town
The same as the first two... ;u;

4th Town - Current
Planning on resetting this in the next 48 hours; the only reason I haven't yet is I have a Stitches in the town that'll likely be raffled if I don't receive a message from the owner within the next few hours.

I've reset twice. I just recently reset for the second time a few days ago. The first time I reset I was in a hurry so I was still unhappy with some things. The most recent time it took me less than an hour to find the perfect map, and it even had Beau, who I was planning on getting anyway. I wasn't even looking for specific villagers, it just worked out that way. I got really lucky with this map and I'm super happy with my current town.

I haven't reset on New Leaf ever. Not even initially to get the perfect map. I just took the town I got and made it work. Having said that, I was pretty lucky with the map, grass, fruit etc and if I wasn't I might have reset a few times early on. I really went with the flow and took my time with the landscaping and development of the town and I have never thought that I'd like to try for a different layout even though what I have is by no means "perfect".

On Wild World I had a really nice town that I put a lot of work into and meant a lot to me. I restarted after playing for over a year because I decided from what I read online that I needed a better layout. After that I could never keep a town for longer than a month because nothing could measure up to the amount of love I put into my original town. I am so glad now to be given a second chance with New Leaf to once again have a town that means so much to me.

I'm definitely not judging people that choose to reset over layout. I just prefer my town to be the natural result of playing for many hours instead of careful planning and reseting. It just feels more special and unique.

I have never resettled ever. There were times when I was so decided into resetting, but right now I'm glad I didn't. It still cross my mind though, but I never have the guts. I mean, all those months I spent on trying to get my stuff together, completing my collections and rare/DLCs, my dreamies (dear god), PWP requests, and all that jazz. But my town is crap, I have like 5-8 rocks and they're at the worst places possible, and my character's eyes looks hideous, and the permanent PWPs are at the worst places as well. But I just can't find it in me to restart my town. I managed to go around those dumb things. But when I visit dream towns or go to other people's town and they have amazing layouts, I just get so unmotivated and want to restart :( Just thinking about it makes me want to restart right now, but I really don't want to and don't wanna waste my time I spent all this time.

I thought that the game corrupts if you use the SD card cheat to get more than one town? ._.

Like 10 towns. I've done the planting ceremony, found it boring and reset. Think I have a permanent town now.

I've reset once.
I had Koholint June 16th-July 23rd
Then i began Azalea on July 23rd, and have had it ever since :)

Bought a 2nd copy and began Parfait on feb 4th

I reset once in February, best thing I did, really. I'm so much happier with this town. I've played everyday since resetting. I do miss my old town of Sapphire sometimes, but I hadn't played for a while, and it was full of weeds and all my good villagers moved. So I'm glad I have my new town now, I already have three villagers that I plan to keep :)

I got my first town in July and played until December, when I reset it. I've had my new town since then (but didn't play for over 3 months, lol).

Never since I first made my town on July 5th. I'm too attached to it. I've considered resetting, but I'm more likely to get a second copy of the game which would give me the benefits of a reset without having to get rid of my town, than to reset.
