Town rating and bee hives?

I?m sure this has been answered somewhere but I can?t seem to find it. Do bee hives on the ground affect town rating?

I think they count as trash unfortunately.
If you really need them outside for something, you may have up to nine items that are considered trash before it affects the rating.

Okay. I thought so but I saw some on the ground in my friends perfect town and thought that would be cute. Oh well. Thank you for the reply!

If that's the case, I would lay them out AFTER you achieve the perfect town rating.

Yeah, if you have more than 10 laying in your town it will affect your perfect town rating. But you can wait until after you get your perfect town rating and any of the perks that come along with it (gold watering can, Jacob's ladders, etc) and then display them when you don't care anymore. Or if it's just your dream address that you care about, you can set them out and save your dream, then pick them up again. It won't hurt your rating as long as you pick them up before the next day.
