Town name

Out of curiosity, how did you come up with your town name?

I tried to make it sound good and unique. I don't like names which are influenced by real life places, but that's just me :3

I got the name of my town (Rosewood) from the show pretty little liars.

I just thought of two things that went together - maple trees, which, for some reason, make me think of Animal Crossing, and oak trees, creating the town of MapleOak.
I don't really mind if you want to use my town name, but if you do I would appreciate you giving at least a little bit of credit! I don't mind if you don't want to use it, though. Not everyone likes all town names!
On another note, there's already some threads about this, but they are totally full. So I think it's good to start fresh every once in a while so it won't be confusing!

Well I love Pokemon. And there's a Pokemon town named Olivine. And in that town the gym leader's name is Jasmine, which is also my name. The town is also layed out quite like an AC town so it was perfect.

I had been planning to call my town Cianwood after Cianwood City but I ended up not choosing it. I was seriously tempted to though, but Cianwood plays a little role in the game and I usually pick bustling cities like Celadon.

A friend and I have this story we've been working on for 10+ years now and one of the towns for one of the main characters is named Vallios and since the main character who lives in this town is mine, I decided to use it for New Leaf.
