I am considering making a town inspired by Hobbits and The Shire, and I've narrowed my name options down to these few! I didn't want to use one of the actual Hobbit village names within The Shire itself, but if you think you can come up with a better one, feel free to post it here (and/or also explain your choice if you feel the need!)

How about Detroit as a name?

I personally went with Merivale, because it reminds me of Rivendell/Elves.

If you're going for a more hobbit feel I'd go with Bywell.

Then I'd definitely go with Bywell since it reminds me of the shire!
I think it's cute that you're going to have both elf/hobbit based towns. I love the hobbit and lotr trilogy ^_^

I agree! The more I look over my list the more I feel myself leaning towards Bywell c:

Bywell has been growing on me, but I'm still fond of Fairbell and Merivale! Bywell sounds very much like something you'd find in Hobbiton, like the village Bywater. Fairbell has the most votes so far, and I really like it, too, because I always viewed Hobbiton as being such a lovely and 'fair' land. And Merivale I love because it's like a "merry valley" which I think suits Hobbits so well n_n

Thank you, and I absolutely will! I won't get started on it for a while yet, as I'm still trying to get my main town ready to post a DA. I'm using the game file I'd make the Hobbit themed town on to cycle for a little while.
