Town Ideas?

I reset my town (Again >.<) and started from scratch, so no bells, no furniture or any gardening items. I'm trying to think of a theme I could design my town but I'm honestly unsure. I was thinking about maybe making a Fairytale town with big castles and a story about a prince and a princess who are forbidden to talk to each other. Or a common forest/witchy town, or maybe even a town focused on Final Fantasy XV. I'm not sure and I've seen a few towns revolving around them themes. What's a unique town theme I could make, or a game/movie I could base it on?

I'm kinda suprised how no one has answered you yet. I don't know if this is common or not but I was thinking to myself how cool it would be to have a Wizard of Oz town. Imagine having a yellow brick road leading down to the castle!

Let your imagination run wild Jess personal I feel designs are quite limiting other than the fact you can make paths but perhaps make it like hyrule from zelda

Maybe a mario or pokemon theme... A nintendo themed town would be cool
