I keep on resetting my town because I get a new idea that I want to do.. but I always go back to never planning one out. I took a short hiatus from NL and I'm thinking I'm gonna do a gothic sort of town or just a relaxing pretty naturey one.. But I don't know! I wish I had two copies of the game so I could do both. What do you guys think?

Well...I would try Gothic if I were you because of the challenge involved. There are a lot of nature-like aspects already and even nature-friendly PWP's. Trying to work in a Gothic feel would be more of a challenge and finding cool paths or tiles will really give your town the "pop" I think you want.

Plus...it sounds like you'll enjoy the challenge. ;) Just my 2 cents...but I think you should go for the challenge. If you don't I fear you'll go complacent again and then wish you hadn't.

ETA - oh, and since you have 2 games...NO EXCUSE NOT TO TAKE A CHALLENGE! :P Go for it!

I'm doing a little planning for a gothic theme right now, and I think my villagers would be: Muffy, Tiffany, Roscoe, Cherry, Lucky, Kiki, Cole, Nan, Mathilda, and Coco. I saw a path inspired by Muffy not too long ago.. I might do some digging to see if there are any other gothic paths. And I'd have a bunch of dead perfect fruit trees.. Hm. I might have to plan out both and find out what I want.. both sound really fun!!

gothic sounds great!! yeah i wanted a gothic town also but it definitely seems limited in the paths and pwps department so i pretty much have given up on doing that :(

yeah.. that's what I'm finding right now. I think I might just do the naturey one, and when I get my second copy I'll try the gothic!

I think you may find more Goth-like paths than you think. It depends on what you mean by "Goth" in your own head. There are plenty of paths that are dark grey, black, and there are lots of mossy-brick ones and mossy-stone ones. Also, there are a few gravestones if you want to add a sombre element. I don't think it would be that hard to get a Gothic feel. The PWP's...yeah, that will be more difficult, but maybe not insurmountable. You can get numerous ones, so if you like the stone thingy you can get more than one, for example.

Like other people have said, I think that it might be easy to merge the theme in certain areas. Like imagine if the paths wore down at some point and you end up with this nature area. It could be like the dark forest or something? lol idk
