What villagers would fit a food-theme? So far I have:

Tangy - Peppy - Fruits
Zucker - Lazy - Takoyaki
Merengue - Normal - Cake
Tia - Normal - Tea
Frita - Tomboy - Cheeseburger and Fries

Any other villagers that fit a food-theme? Also, any name ideas?

I am still trying to plan out an idea for a 5th town, but aside from Lionel and Hopper, I have few ideas for Town 5.

Update:

Chadder - Flamboyant - Cheese
Marshal - Flamboyant - Marshmallow

How about Ketchup (peppy)? She's literally a tomato duck and would fit the theme perfectly.
Then there is also Chadder (smug), which is a mouse and looks like cheese. I also saw some
people who said that T-Bone (cranky) would fit in such a theme, since he's cow (meat) and
because of his name ("T-Bone steak").

I second the above! Coco also kinda looks like a coconut, if you wanna count that. But other than those, I don't know how many villagers look like food. There are quite a few with food-themed names, though- Apple, Cherry, Sprinkle, Pecan, Mint, etc.

As for town names- this might just be because of the Mario Odyssey kick I'm on, but the food-themed kingdom in that is called Luncheon, and I like that a lot.

I should be a bit more clear. I don't mean as in villagers with food names like Apple or Cherry. I mean ones who LOOK like food.

Also, I am adding the Cheddar suggestion. He would be perfect.

How about Ketchup? Sure, Ketchup is a condiment but she should still count, she literally looks like a tomato, as Perry Berry said :)

Yeah I'd say Ketchup and Chadder would fit perfectly. I have Chadder and he's a sweetie :)

For the jocks you don't have many options. Lyman looks almost like a vegetable, Curly and Kevin are pork of some kind, and Goose is a chicken.

For cranky villagers, Angus, Rasher, T-Bone, and Limberg are your best options (though you already have a better cheese mouse with Chadder)

For snooty villagers two good options would be Pancetti or Tipper, I think. Pecan also looks a little like a nut.
