What are your top 3 Fire Emblem games? (also sorry if this is already a thread. i just can't be bothered looking)

I've only played 4 (Birthright, Revelations, SoV & Awakening) so my list isn't gonna be very good, but here we go:

3. Awakening -- This was my first FE game of all time. I remember one of my friends owning it and loving it, so when I saw it at Target I decided to buy it. Best decision of all time. It was also fun grinding in this game, believe it or not. It was fun making your units OP as ****.
2. Shadows of Valentia -- I haven't finished this game yet but let me just say, the story is amazing. I've grown so attached to all the characters you don't even know dude.
1. Revelations -- The story was crap, but I love the gameplay. Fates had the best multiplayer and online imo. I love it. The fact that you can have everything from both Birthright and Conquest is just beautiful lol. I just wish it wasn't digital only and it could be bought as a cartridge.

Echoes, Heroes, and Awakening though I'm dying to play Binding/Blazing blade. I hated Fates.

This post would give /r/fireemblem an aneurism, haha. That aside, my favorite is definitely FE7, after that it's a big toss up between many.

I have only played Fates and Awakening. I really liked the Conquest story because it has a lot of cool characters. I also like trying to get all of the support conversations. Awakening has a lot of funny support conversations. I don't think I'd want to play any one that didn't have a casual mode option. I find it too hard to level up characters you just got without losing them.

Yeah sometimes I forget that FE isnt a waifu simulator

Anyway genwunners shud kermit seppuku

Only played Conquest here, RIP. It is fun being a samurai and becoming your own Ryoma in the Nohr route, although it kinda lacks some story.

1. Fire Emblem: Three Houses – The characters, the branching storylines, the tea parties... what's not to love? It’s basically a tactical RPG with a side of school drama and heartbreak.

2.Fire Emblem: Awakening – This one saved the series and stole my heart. Great cast, fun pair-up mechanics, and who doesn’t love marrying off their units and watching the next gen wreck house?
3. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance – Ike is a legend. The story hits hard, the gameplay is solid, and it just feels epic from start to finish.

Wow, this thread is such a throwback. I was in high school when I made this.
I agree with you - Three Houses is now my favourite. It's like a mix of Persona and FE.
Since I made this thread, I've played more FE games, and I really like the GBA ones too. The sprite-work is incredible in the GBA games.

I have played all the games including the lesser known (in the English world) Japanese only games.

I’d probably say:

1. Shadows of Valentia: I know people either loved or hated this one and I personally loved it even with its flaws. The music, art style, voice acting are all top notch. The I love the gameplay even with its faults it’s just a lot of fun to me.

2. Genealogy of the Holy War: Pretty much anyone who has taken the time to play it knows that this game is special. If they ever give it a quality remake it’ll easily take the number 1 spot for me.

3. Thracia 776: Seems I really like the games that are very different mechanically than most considering this game is crazy when it comes to unique mechanics. It is also ridiculously brutal but so satisfying when you finally manage to beat certain chapters. Bonus that the story ties in with the game at #2.

Honourable Mention. Awakening: The only rather normal game on this list haha. I really love of the characters and like many it was the game that I started the series with. I really wanted to list it in the top 3 but its flaws and fairly normal mechanics made it hard to list above the other 3.
