Too many trees? Isabelle mentioned this when I asked about island evals.

I went to ask Isabelle for an island evaluation, which is still at 2 stars. :( in the review she said that there are too many trees and thus it’s too rural and it’s also blocking the way of villagers. Overall, should I reduce the amount of trees? What can I do to bring up my island evaluation score to three stars?

Isabelle speaks pretty straightforward about what you need to do to raise your rating; if she says too many trees, it's time to cut some down. Other things to consider are:
  1. Flowers, how many are planted
  2. Decorations outside
  3. Picking up weeds
  4. Making sure there aren't any "dropped items" laying around. This includes dropped resources like stones, branches, etc.

yup. I guess I went too much #teamtrees XD

To get 3 stars, try:

8 villagers
50-100 flowers
0 weeds
25+ DIY Furniture outside
30-50 fences

I hit 3-stars this morning, after 1-star yesterday and the day before.

Today I got my 8th villager. I have 1 bridge and 1 incline. I have at most 30 flowers, possibly more like 20. Weeds all over. About 20-25 fences out (I fenced in one villagers house/yard and that's it). I think I have about 20 pieces of furniture outside, a mix of DIY and Nook's Cranny/Pocket Camp/Nook Miles items.

Yesterday's 1-star rating was almost definitely because I had resources dropped all over the damn place.
