Too many popular villagers?

I think it's just fun to have a goal, you know? Like you want perfect town, your perfect villagers, etc..
Life just feels more complete with goals in whatever you're doing.

I love my villagers and I don't care if they're popular or not. I usually choose them based on how much I love them, one being Marshal c:

Me too. I have a few popular villagers and I like them. I was a noob back then when Stitches was my 7th villager who moved in and I didn't know who he was. But I love him so much even though some people says he's overrated.

I have Diana and Marshal because I wanna know why are they so popular. Now that I hang out with them I think they are really cute. Especially Diana, she's so funny.

I think people shouldn't judge on a town with popular villagers. It's personal preference (at least in my case).

I think the reason why so many people have popular villagers is because since they're so popular, everyone's always hearing about them, and people who don't know who they are look them up and are like "Oh, cute, I want them!". And probably also because they wanna know what all the fuss is about. ^^;

(I personally don't care, people can have who they want. c: )

Well popular villagers are popular for a reason as in they have certain design elements that a lot of players find pleasing like Diana's pastel colors, Julian being a unicorn, Stitches being a colorful living toy bear, Lucky being is a mummy, octopuses are unique villagers, etc.

My opinion is that people can have whatever villagers they want in their towns as it really doesn't affect my choices.
Like I don't care for any of the deer villagers - with Beau being boring and me preferring Francine and Maelle over Diana.

Personally, I pick my villagers based on 1. sentimental attachment (I had Stitches, Marina, Francine, and Jeremiah in WW and CF while I had Octavian since the gamecube version) and 2. interesting/cool/cute design (Pietro, Genji, Molly, Zucker)
I got Marshal from the campsite originally just so I can prevent a random move-in from Wifi but I do like him already... much more than Julian lol.

I don't personally care what villagers are in anyone's town, that's not my choice to decide. I can see the argument how dream suite can get repetitive though if you see the same people over again. My only real issue with poplar villagers is that so many unpopular villagers get voided because of their lack popularity :( It's much easier to find a Marshal than say a Bill or insert unpopular villager name here.

well, I used to read gamefaqs and I know people will pay million for one villager but I know that they love them since old games. Julian is new but he is unicorn (for girls, it is a dream comes true lol or it is just me ?? lol)
I think they have good intention and I hope they love them the way we love our villager.

I'm not trying to sound rude, but isn't that a bit stereotypical? Not all girls are interested in sparkly, glittery cute fantasy beings like unicorns and fairies.

I have I guess you would call popular. But not because they are popular it's because they are cute. I have some less popular like Maple (Fav from WW and CF so I love being able to chose your villagers). I am also trying to balance my personalities but I still want cute villagers. I have muffy because I liked her the most from the Uchi personality. I personally don't like Julian :P I have had the opportunity to meet him. I did get Marina because she was cute to me but we have not bonded as much as I have with some others. Its the same with Flora. I have bonded with wish marshal and beau. LOL I never thought I would. A lazy and a smug. Never like those personalities. But I have come to like them. So for me its not the popularity that I want but the cuteness. If we don't form a relationship then it is time for them to move on.

Plus I agree with a lot of people. It is your game and your village. Its about what makes you happy. I love going to my town every day to see my villagers and walk around my town which has been called cute as well :) There are some villagers that if I get a ping to move I say no right away but honestly there are some where have to pause and think. I would love to get Rosie back and I miss her a lot but because I don't think I could cycle out 16 to get her back :(

I think it's alright having a lot of "popular villagers" it's the mayors preference after all. And it is just a game.

However having a lot of popular villagers can be a hassle, because then everyone will always be asking to move out and it'll frustrate you even more (unless your super lucky and always get to move out a certain unwanted villager). I think it's called animal crossing because at some point the "animal" - your villager will at one point leave but it's very possible you'll cross paths again.

I have a few popular villagers. I like them because they're cute or for nostalgic reasons. I've had some other popular villagers whom I didn't "click" with so...I let them go. I don't think everyone wanting the same villagers makes everything "bland" the bell tree forums are such a small world. Everyone here may want the same villagers, but that doesn't mean the majority of the rest of the world does.
