Tomodachi Life in comparison to ACNL

They're very different games but they have the same target audience. ACNL is a game where you handle a Town with villagers -- and Tomodachi Life (TBR: June 6, 2014) is a game where you take care / entertain / marry Miis. Both games also encourage decorating & interactions.

I think I might get the game ... but what do you think of this game in comparison to ACNL?

Does it appeal you in the same way that ACNL does? Would you stick with ACNL and ignore this game -- or will you perhaps make a switch? Do you think both will be competitors - or will they actually boost each others sales? Discuss below!

I feel the same way. I was and am never a fan of the idea of Miis. But the game will probably be a bit popular too because it's made by Nintendo basically =P

I'll still buy this game - but it's not in the top of my priority. I'll buy it because of the humor, love life, drama and the voice customization.

I don't think I'll get it. What I love the most in AC is the animals and the nature.
That new games doesn't seem focused on that.

Yeah, it doesn't quite have the same appeal and charm that AC does, in my opinion. I might pick up the game if I find it on sale just for sheer ridiculous factor and to mess around.

Although I have to say, that's honestly the best Nintendo Direct showcase I've ever seen. I laughed until I cried and just kept saying, "What is this?! Oh my god!" every minute.

I hope they don't have the silly gauges; that's the reason I don't play Sims

Honestly, if it didnt have Miis, I would snap it up in a heartbeat. It looks weird and offbeat, and I like this sort of thing--I like that they can have weird relationships and dates and fight and insult each other.
But I really don't like the way 90% of Miis look. They look vacant and I find that kinda creepy. So sadly, I think I'll pass.

I normally wouldn't, but I think I'm going to buy it just to have it & say I've played it haha. It has potential, I think, but it just depends on how things go. I've not watched any videos on the Japanese version, so I don't have an idea lol.
