Tomodachi Life - Bug or???

I have 2 ranking board rank types left to unlock. Traveler and island

The problem is though, I should have the island rank unlocked, sense I have quality of life unlocked but not the island rank, and quality of life comes with the island rank.

Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

Don't worry, it's not a bug.

The Quality of life doesn't unlock that unfortunately.
You have to Streetpass others at least 5 times and had a baby grow up and send them off as a Traveler to unlock that.

I’ve done that though which is the only weird part, and I still don’t have it

I can't say for this particular issue, but in Tomodachi Life I've had a couple situations where things should've unlocked and they just... didn't. It happened seemingly at random much later.
