Told a villager not to move, they still moved

Is this also a glitch?? June asked to move and I told her I didn't want to and she said okay, I timetraveled a day forward and Isabelle announced that the next day she'll be moving.... what???

I'm not aware of this being a glitch, are you sure you answered correctly? Some of the prompts can be misleading as to which option is "go" and which is "stay"

Pretty sure I told her no, but who knows. She's not a favorite so I'm not upset I'm just confused to what happened

It really depends on the dialogue. It's possible that we have to convince a villager multiple times to stay on our island.
