I have had my first island sknce launch. Learned how to do everything on it. But now that I know what I want and how to do it, is it sad I want to restart again. I mean I know you can terraform, but I like "natural" beauty. I think thats why I am wanting to change my first dips onto terraforming the off the balance of the island for me.
I will miss my DIY and the collectables but I am thinking of doing it this weekend......maybe.....probably. Wjy is it so hard to decide.
If you really want to restart, find a friend with another switch or online that you can trust. Just mail them all your items including all items made with diy recipes before restarting. That would be the best idea. If you have lots of nook miles, spend them on nook miles tickets to mail to your friend you can use later to get your dreamies.
Yeah. I am going to give myself till Friday. Take one last good look around, maybe a few screenshots. Then do just that. Im off all weekend so I can use that to my advantage. But it also gives me a chance to consider it you know.
Learning from your first experience will definitely enhance your 2nd go round. You can also consider doing a soft reset and just turn your land completely flat and start from there.
I recently restarted (need to actually update my signature at some point lul) and it was the best decision (for me) ever!! I have more of an understanding of what I want and how to achieve it now. I have someone holding all my villagers, flowers, bells, and items until I'm settled. Luckily they're not into acnh that much so they didn't mind sacrificing their town for me.
I think that is also what I am hopong for me. I know the mechanics. I know what I want and what to look for. It will be a bit slow at first because I do not want to tome travel. But starting over is fun in its own way. I can take my time and really develope everything.
I reset recently and used my mistakes from my (technically second) island and I am so happy I reset. I absolutely love my new island and I had fun planning it out on an island planner. Starting over is fun and it's nice to relive the beginning parts of the game!
Alright. So Friday after work will be the big day. I plan on journaling it because I am a sucker for pictures. I like looming back and I did not do that the first time.
If you're not happy with your island now then odds are you're never going to be truly happy with it. I've restarted twice now, first time was because of glitches and the second time was because I wasn't truly happy with my island. I wanted a different map, fruit, name, etc. I kept pretending I was happy and fine with it but I really wasn't, so I decided to restart again. I'm really glad I did.
I think it's best to take the dive and find something you'll be happy with. I dropped off all my valuables on my friend's island and got them back after I restarted so if you have items and bells you don't wanna lose I'd recommend doing that.
