I didn't even know it was going on lol, I haven't been playing NH 
honestly I was tired of it back in 2020 so I don't blame you at all. if I do go back and play it sometime today or tomorrow I'll very likely set the clock to when the cherry blossom stuff was going on so I don't have to deal with easter.

I was already tired of it since 2020.
Yeah all of us from launch were tired of it in 2020. Especially since they made the event go on for 2 weeks. They nerfed it to 1 week in 2021, but it didn't need to be a 1 week long event either. All of the other holidays are relegated to 1 day, so I don't see why Bunny day had to be any different.
It really did only need to be 1 day. They made it a week long to compensate for how barebone launch month(s) were, but they should've cut it back to 1 day the following years.

right? like, i get they made it as long as they did so that players would have enough time to gather up enough eggs, but... with how easy it is to find eggs (to the point that it’s actually annoying), we really didn’t need a 6-day-long prep. it only takes like,, a couple hours tops to gather up enough eggs to craft every diy, get the easter basket, etc lol.
i get they took a similar prep-time route with halloween and candy, but that was much more tolerable and less in-your-face than bunny day and its eggs imo. with candy, having 31 days of prep made sense because you could only get candy one way — once a day from nook’s cranny. you could also create spare characters or visit other people’s islands to gather up more candy quicker, but still. it’d take a while. whereas with eggs you can get them from the sky, rocks, the ground, trees, practically any ‘fish’ that you try to catch is an egg, etc. plus, if you run out of eggs on your own island, you can visit however many nook mile islands you need to gather more.
we did not need a 7-14 day event! it’s bunny day, not bunny week/s.
I can give them a pass with the candy since like you said it's kind of tucked away and not in your face. Plus it's formula the other games did for Halloween anyway.
@xara It was totally padding because Pave's festivale furniture uses just as much feather materials as the eggs did and was just a one day event. They knew the game was barebone at launch and did this to detract from it.
Same thing with the Stamp day for the museum. That event was so uninspired, but it went on for a week. Where like one day would suffice. They literally could not have spent too much time on the drawing board with this idea. Or how Wedding month dragged on when a week would've sufficed. Or how they conveniently left out the Earth day event after 2020.
