Hello everyone! :D I've been checking out a lot of dream towns and tumblr pages with pictures of people's towns, and what I've noticed is that their town is very well organized. What I mean by this their trees are all lined up and some towns have trees lined up that involve the same fruit and have flowers surrounding that are the similar color (I think you're familiar with these towns.) And after going through all these towns, I feel like/starting to realize how "messy" my town seems.

My town has trees and bushes (not all of them but the majority of my bushes) are all spread out randomly, this includes my flowers. The area in my town that is the most "organized" is the park, which is still under-construction. I did this because it gives a more "natrual" feel/look to my town but I feel like it's too messy.

So please give me tips and advice on how to make an organized town. This includes flowers, trees, (opt) PWP, etc.
Thank you :)

Paths with trees, bushes and flowers in organised sections of the town. I don't know - I've never had a tidy town either!

Oh and maybe get rid of all your random trees and bushes and flowers.

Well tips are better than no tips lol. But I think I might try that

Do you have a picture of your map you could show?

I suggest laying down paths to connect all your buildings/houses, then line the paths with flowers (flowers of the same species or of the same colour), bushes, trees... then put PWPs in empty areas. :)

You could also plan some areas in your town: zen, parc, picnic, windmill, etc. and go from there!

Oh yeah I already have paths set up :P And in this one area in my town, I have sort of an "asian theme". It has bamboo, perssimon, and holly starts, with a stone tablet and a pond near by. I just think it looks sort of Asian lol I also have a windmill next to the river and a well next to the river as well :]

I'll try my best to post a pic of my town.

Edit: Here's my map

You have exactly the same map to me XD
Planning out areas is the key to a organised town. Look at your map.
Is there an area where all of the villagers usually are? Put a bench there so they will sit there.
Is there an area that is so relaxing and peaceful? Pop a Zen area there
Add paths (Optional) You don't need paths really, but they are a nice feature and will make your town more easier to travel along.
Add trees/bushes or Flowers of the same type/colour to your paths if you have them.

Think about what you want out of your town. Do you want a relaxing, peaceful forest or a bustling city? Ask yourself this question, and you will find the answer. Once you have picked, try to find Dream Addresses with the same theme. You'll get tones of answers and ideas and have fun at the same time!

i'm definitely no expert on this but i would say trying to first of all decide on a general theme for your town; so it could be green and full of plant life, more urban like and minimalist or whatever! once you've worked that out you can start seperating your town into different sections and bordering buildings and pwps with bushes and trees.

Lol! xD Yeah I put benches in multiple areas :P I put a bench by the cliff below the town hall, and to the right of it is my "Asian garden" (unfortuntely someone plotted a house RIGHT in the middle of the garden :( ) I have multiple benches in my park in the upper right (theres neighbors in the way so I'm waiting for them to move out) and one below the cafe :]

I had to put PWP such as streetlights to prevent animals from moving in the middle of the paths :l Thanks for the info! This gave me some ideas :D

Thank you! I'm going to think of ways to border parts of my town :]

I suggest to get organized is to start by laying paths ((which you have done)) then move all flowers to an "out of the way" area or the beach... so You have a fresh start without having to mess with moving/finding them when it comes to that part.
A lot of people suggest cutting down all your trees to really have a fresh start, but I didn't mess with doing that and just cut down trees that were in the way as I went along.

A good way to organize is start lining paths with either bushes, trees, flowers, or a mixture of of them.
And then organize a lining area of PWPs with bushes, trees, flowers, or a mixture of them.
The whole town doesn't have to have the same combination... Entry of my town is blue/gold roses, villager area is lined with generic pansy colors rotated in a pattern, and my town hall is surround by perfect apple trees and rotating red and orange flowers.

It's a good idea to make a color scheme in mind or pattern in mind for an area, and one that will match and look already with what is there... Such as a villager house that is black and purple maybe have black and purple followers whose tones compliment the house. =3

Just my few thoughts really. Not sure if it helps any though. XP

Honestly, I don't like paths in my town they're a pain to manage with moving villagers and to lay down, also if not done right they look kinda bad. So In my town, I just put lots of designs with flowers and trees, surround things in flowers of the same species and make 'theme areas' (You could do your entire town one theme or different sections of it similar themes)

Random thing too, is i like to keep flower areas the same species but different colors. I'm not a HUGE fan of keeping same color with different species.
Anyways, good luck!

Spacing is key to organization. Keep a pattern (tree, space tree, space, etc) or keep all flowers in a pattern as well. Make paths and this will naturally divide you town into sections. Have a color scheme in each section. Just a few ideas!

I think one of the main things that makes a town seem disorganized is random plants, or no paths at all.
But, I don't think stuff has to be in perfectly straight rows. I still think that a certain pattern of stuff looks nice though.
If you like the more natural feel of stuff, try organizing bushes and flowers neatly, but leaving the trees random. Or organizing the bushes and trees, but leaving flowers random. Pairing one of those combinations with areas which are 100% organized like your park will balance out the feel of natural & organized while keeping the town away from being messy.
Another thing which makes towns seem messy are PWPs that are placed entirely random or PWPs that don't match each other at all, like different types of streetlights around town.

A town is hard work and takes ages to get it exactly how you want it to, so don't fret :) I'm sure soon it'll be amazing.

I'm still working on organizing my NL town, but I did organize my CF quite a bit. I laid my paths, then figured out my tree placement. Then I would organize my flowers. I had a variety of forests (just trees), flower beds (usually where my paths naturally made a small'ish area), and paths lined with trees and flowers. I also like areas of open grass, just bordered by flowers.
