Hi! So I kind of want a foresty type of town on the upper half (where only pine trees can grow) and a more tropicaly type on the bottom half (close to the beach) and wanted some ideas for how to make it look really good!
I have clovers growing everywhere and lots of mushrooms for that foresty look. What else can I add pathwise, public works wise, etc.
I need some opinions :^)

try doing the pwp trick to get the lighthouse and put it on the coastal side of your town. you could also make signs indicating what area youre in. for the tropical look you could decorate the beach more with palm trees and beach blanket patterns, you could make the cliffs near your beach a boardwalk.

i hope i don't sound like a doofus by asking what pwp means hahaha
also... yes! i have a beautiful town ordinance going on right now so i'm going to go for the lighthouse, i think it'd be a pretty addition to my town. as of right now i have two moai statues on each cliff to the far left and far right of the bottom half on the map. should i demolish one to place the lighthouse?

well you could just put the lighthouse somewhere in the middle or at a different part of the cliff. also pwp stands for public works project. also i just remembered, buy some hibiscus bushes from the island and scatter them about. you could also make a side character whos house exterior is cabana or hut themed.

ok i'll figure it out somewhere along the way. good news is i got a cabana house in the making and i'll stop by the island and find some bushes later, thanks for the advice! :^)

If you're going for a tropical theme, I would recommend getting hold of some certain pwps. One that comes to mind, besides the lighthouse mentioned above, is the hammock. If I'm not mistaken, it's suggested by lazy villagers. You could do the pwp farming trick and get one that way. Another tropical looking pwp is the wooden bridge. The wooden bridge has that sort of tan color to it that comes to mind with the tropical theme.

Also, in regards to plants, I'd recommend getting some durian trees. The durian fruits that grow on them has a yellowish color to it, which matches the hammock/wooden bridge. If you do indeed need them, feel free to pm.
If I think of anything else, I'll comment again. Hope it helps though!
