Tips for falling asleep faster?

Sleeping pills, or physical activity.

Something I learned a long time ago is when you're laying in bed start from head down and slowly try to stretch every muscle in your body a few times. So start by like tilting your neck and bending it, then moving your shoulders around, flexing your arms, wrists, fingers, back, thighs, calfs feet and toes. Do each like 10 times and usually it helps you get comfortable and is just enough activity to get you out.

Me personally my sleep schedule is awful. So I take drugs when I need to. Like today I am going to go home and take some awesome prescription knock-out pills so I can actually sleep...

I've heard that looking at a screen (phone, laptop, etc) makes it harder for you to fall asleep so I'd avoid that if possible. I find that reading a book helps me fall asleep. I read and then my eyes get blurry which means it's bed time.

I also like to take a hot bath. Having my body all warm and soft like that helps me get tired. Maybe also try a hot beverage. Warm milk is great and works for me anyway.

I definitely recommend cherries. Not maraschino cherries though; just natural ones with pits in them. That's a good, healthy way of getting melatonin naturally without supplements. Or like one person already said, cherry juice would also work well. Although, if you're not against taking supplements, melatonin pills work really well for me. Just take them like an hour or so before you go to bed and don't get on any electronics beforehand either. I've found that it tends to cancel out the melatonin for me. c:

If I cry a lot it makes me sleepy afterwards. I haven't heard anyone else say anything about that but it works for me. Sometime I drink tea too and that normally helps a little.

That was the case for me a few years ago.
Though, that's not really an efficient way to fall asleep. xD

I would go to bed early, like 1 or 2 hours before the time I would actually fall asleep, and listen to the rain sounds on my music player. Do this regularly then you will create a habit for yourself and you'd be able to sleep faster.

Lavender can help you sleep. It is meant to be relaxing. So taking a warm bath with lavender soaps can help.

I was taught that your bed is only for two things: sleeping and sex. So never do homework on your bed or anything that takes away from that. I fall asleep very easily because I only use my bed for sleeping. I usually just lay down, close my eyes, sometimes imagine dreams and scenes from my imagination and I'll pass out in no time. Rooms should be pitch black in order to tell the body that it is time to sleep. So no phone or laptop on. The light is distracting.

Clearing your mind can help and distancing yourself from anything distracting has helped me as well.

If you cannot relax enough to sleep, then use some meditation. Calm.com has some great meditations that help you relax, and I've definitely fallen asleep because of them. I have it on my phone so I can actually just set it across the room, have a timer on my meditation so I can listen to it and then fall asleep when the meditation is done.

It's just a matter of rewiring your body and finding out how to sleep without distractions. But everyone is different and have different ways of falling asleep.

Listening to calm music helps me sleep uvu I found that listening to songs in foreign languages helps

Melatonin. It's natural. Just don't take it too often, because it may cause your body to stop producing it since you're taking it so often. ;A;

I take 1 pill at dinner (8 or 9) and I'm usually asleep by 12. That's on a good night.

there's a few playlists on spotify that are of nature sounds !
here's a few:[x][x][x][x][x]
i also love the 1975 especially for sleeping, might just be me though.
if i'm really tired, i blink really fast for a minute or two which usually helps.

Sticking a hand down your pants does indeed work for some people, but in my case, doing the exact opposite helps me sleep. Just get in a comfortable position and think long and hard about whatever may turn you on. Eventually, you'll just fall asleep. I've always found thinking to be the best and quickest way to fall asleep. Sexual thinking is the best way to do it.

uh i just put some lavender scented stuff on my pillow and myself and that helps . if not lavender then get your favorite scent and imagine a nice story in your head - eventually i fall asleep ✮☾
