A little background
Heya folks, so i just started playing ACNL again after just finding out that Animal Crossing is coming to the Switch, so that got me all excited and i decided to play ACNL again. (I know, im a lil late in finding out the news)

I just got the 2nd floor renovation, and only now did i decided to ughh make my room pop a bit with some furniture.
But since i just got the 2nd floor it's really tiny and that's why im here

What are some creative ways to make a small room look amazing?

Until i expand it up a bit i think i can only fit up to 5 furniture in this room!!

Ooh, that's interesting! Personally, I'd put a 4x4 bed up against a wall in the middle of the room. Something like this:

B= Bed
S= Space

S B B S
S B B S
S S S S
S S S S

But if you don't want that, you could try putting a small T.V. by the window. Gyroids work too! Just my thoughts. :)

Def make the most use of the edges to add as many items as possible without looking too cluttered ((:

It's fun to design a small room as it has restriction!
This one is from a few month ago. I was competing with my friend in NL. It was a mini game we liked, in which you're only allowed to use items that you get from - either 1. shaking trees, or 2. reward for doing chores for your villagers that day. No buying from shops. No using anything that you already have beside just one.

The above posts really showed how you could make a small room cozy! I'd just like to add, don't forget to display things on the walls for even more space :D

Hey everyone!!

Thankyou all for your advice!!

I had a few zen themed items so i decided to make a zen themed room and in my opinion it looks amazing!!

I'll share it here with you guys once i'm able to take a picture!!

Nice cozy looking room. I love it<3 But also I wonder if it'd look nicer when you put something like a go board or shogi board in front of the zen cushion at the corner instead of putting 2 zen cushions. Like a small chess corner.
Also if you have any greens/flowers like bonsai or ikebana display putting it on the paulownia closet might look some comfortable - it'd make a difference in hight with other furniture that's in the line. Paper lantern can also be replaced to paper wall lamp, customizable, so there will be some more space on the floor.

I started wanting to check how it could look myself, haha aha;

That's a great idea!! I actually have 2 paper wall lamps which are barely visible but you can see them on the 2nd picture!!

The shogi board idea is actually pretty good, only reason i put 2 of those zen cushions is cause i really didn't know what else to put.
Now i gotta check whether i have shogi board and test it out!!

Thanks for the idea!!

Cute room! :)

I honestly wish there was a way to decrease room size - I miss decorating smaller rooms..

Thank you very much!!

Doing this actually made me hesitate on upgrading the room size
8x8 for me is a little too big and there tends to be a lot of empty space mostly by the side and in the middle

6x6 is fine by me tho, but 4x4 is just a lot of fun to design!!

Ah~ right. I missed the lanterns on the wall. Now that it's understandable as to why the room is so bright.
Looking forward to seeing the testing process as well. ^^
