Timetraveling?! Help I am really sad!

I timetraveled one day to meet my new villager in my second town, Rocket.
Turns out that Merengue was moving in on Thursday, so I TTed there to make sure. But if I Timetravel back to Tuesday (today), will Merengue still move in on Thursday and Friday?
Because I don't want to lose her..

TTing backwards to any amount of time that would be a different day than the current day, be it a day, week, year, or 10 years, will count as 1 day forward in game.
So going backwards a day your game will think you actually went forward a day... so Merengue will move in sooner than she normally would have.

you can't lose a villager from time traveling if they are moving in. she will already have plotted her house though.

If you save on the day that her plot appears, traveling back to the current day will have her unpacking. Traveling back would just be seen as a day passing, of sorts.

I'm not sure if Merengue is a random move-in, but if she isn't then traveling back won't stop her. If she is random, she'll probably be replaced with another villager (if you don't save on the day her plot appears, that is).

Wait, sorry new question, the date today, she hasn't been roped down. She was roped down on Weds, Unpacking on Thurs, so she'd be here by Friday. If I go back to today, (tuesday) will I get a random villager and not Merengue?
