Time travelling question

This may seem dumb but im fairly new to time travelling and i would like to know this, just incase i make a huge mistake!

So i just had a villager move in, well actually two recently, and the date in the game is about two weeks ahead.

I would like to go two weeks back, so i am at the current date(i know it only counts as one day) but do my villagers stay? Since theyre so new and they werent living in my town two weeks ago, would it go back to them not being there? Or will they still be there?

Im guessing they will still be there, but i just wanna be sure!!

They would still be there. Time travelling backwards never "undos" anything.

Time travelling backwards in time does not effect the progress of your town.
For example, if I grow a tree on May 27th and I TT to May 31st, I can TT back and it will still be fully grown
